The effectiveness of massage in certain forms of headaches (tension headaches) has been known and documented for some time: the Italian National Association of Massotherapists (Associazione Nazionale Massoterapisti, A.Na.M.) is developing specific protocols, to be shared with neurologists, through which the ancient art of massage, combined with new knowledge about water, will provide physicians with therapeutic strategies, complementary to the pharmacological approach, for treating diseases that have a great social impact.
